If you see Fashion Week of Rochester as only models on runways, you're missing something. Yes, it's a fashion show, and yes, there are models on runways, but it is also about something greater.
In their own words "Fashion Week of Rochester celebrates local designers, boutiques and businesses. But its greater mission is to help some of those most in need."
"In 2014, Fashion Week generated more than $250,000 for The Center for Youth. This significant support helped The Center launch its New Beginning House, an independent living resident for young men who are working to finish school or vocational programs and start careers" (via website).
In previous years, each show was in a unique location. This year, Fashion Week, is creating a one-stop fashion week spot called "The Tents on Main" which will be located across from the Sibley Building. Each show will have its own unique theme and fashions.
