BITES & SIPS ||
Looking for a different place to dine on your lunch hour? Check out Galleria Pizzeria located in the heart of downtown. This year marks the 20th anniversary for this pizza shop, as well as the owners' commitment to serving the downtown area.
Located within the historic Reynolds Arcade building, the Galleria is known as a place for a quick, inexpensive lunchtime meal for the downtown working masses.
Plenty of seating to go around, kick back and relax a bit while enjoying your favorite slice or comfort meal. Beware, you just might have feelings of nostalgia and memories of the "old days" as the similarities of the very first indoor, downtown mall in America - the former Midtown Plaza - are very apparent all around the restaurant. It is, after all, located in one of downtown's landmark high rises.
The menu is definitely worth taking a look at. Pizza is only the start of it…cold and hot subs, stromboli's, chicken wings, wraps and dinners round out the Italian American fare. Like most places in the downtown area, the prices are extremely reasonable where as you can get a slice for around $2, and even a soda (or pop!) for less than a buck.
There are daily specials which you can inquire about on the website, and if you are a late-lunch eater, you might want to take advantage of the Galleria SUPER SPECIALS offered after 3pm. Best yet, if you can't seem to get away from that mounting pile of work at your desk and you are stationed in the "immediate downtown" area, Galleria will deliver.
