But before all of this, ever since the early 1900's, garbage plates made their way into the hearts and bellies of our local ancestors.
Wait a second, here's an idea - why not merge a historical favorite with the ever-growing and popular food truck craze? Boom!
Ok, so many of you may already know that I'm not the only one to come up with this idea as this is already being done - on the west coast!
Spotted recently out in LA...
Inspired from the real thing here in Rochester as described from their Facebook page...
"We are a Los Angeles, CA based food truck bringing the LENGENDARY TRASH PLATE from Rochester NY to Southern California." Ok, the spelling error on their Facebook page is their own (can you spot it?), but the idea certainly is not.
The real question is - why don't we have one here?
Spoiler ALERT: Great business plan. Now please make it happen.
I cannot believe this hasn't happened yet. Seems pretty simple and straightfoward and would make a nice addition to the after-bar crowd around the East End. Wait a second - they are trying to re-brand over there...Ok, so maybe somewhere on Monroe Avenue. Check out more @theRochesteriat or Facebook.
