Many of you know this story: according to folklore, this February 2nd - groundhogs around the world - will emerge from their burrows in the ground and supposedly determine if there will be 6 more weeks of winter or if we will have an early spring. If it is sunny, the groundhog will see its shadow and retreat for 6 more weeks of winter; if it is cloudy, then spring will supposedly come early.
There are some of you that might of heard of Punxsutawney Phil and Groundhog Day from the 1993 film starring Bill Murray, Groundhog Day. This movie seemed to hit a chord amongst the American public as it depicts a man stuck reliving the same day, over and over.
Every year, February comes along and many of us here in Rochester feel that winter is never going to end, or, worse yet, feel that we are living the same thing over and over every single day just like Bill Murray's character in the film. Now is the time to step out and do something new, something different, something completely out of your norm. Start living your life here in our city like it is your last. What better way to do this than with the comfort of food? Here are 4 very different ideas for you to try that you might not have heard about, or tried in the last 6 months.
