Last Saturday (4/30) was the first Open House for the newly remodeled, renamed Residences at The Columbus Building. This is one of a handful of projects that DHD Ventures has going on currently in and around downtown, and we got a good peek inside on our own tour of the building.
One bedrooms are starting at $1050/month and Studios start at $820/month, so if this is within your price range, you'll want to call for a tour of your own. We're told that the interest was strong at the Open House and the demand in downtown living is definitely here and now, and after touring these beautiful apartments, we can see why.
Here's a quick look at what you could be renting.
Most floors from 5-10 are available, and of course the views are what initially caught our eye. I mean, why else would we want to live so high up off the ground?
We urge you though, take note, look how nicely staged the furniture is in these model apartments. Can you do this? Will you remember how to effectively position your furniture in your living room? It's harder than you think, and that's why you have us to keep the pictures for you.
But back to the views -
There are incredible views of the Manhattan Square neighborhood and the East End below your windows, and views as far east of the city as the day will allow for this particular loft.
On the other side of the building, there are views of the west and most of downtown in progress.
But did you notice this...?
Every unit will come with pre-installed shades so you won't have to buy them yourself. Do you know how expensive decent-looking shades can be? This saves each resident from having to run to Wally-World just to get something cheap for privacy during your first week.
Hey, every little detail counts!
And speaking of details, check out the polished concrete floors. Think this will be too cold in the winter? No worries, heat and electric are included in your rent.
Modern-industrial kitchen fixtures with decorative filament bulbs that's all the rage these days...
...stainless steel appliances (with dishwasher!), quartz countertops, glass tile kitchen backsplashes (also note the blue tile in the first picture above), modern steel shelving...
...and the floating modern cabinetry in the bathrooms.
The bedroom is no small hole in the wall either...
...with plenty of natural sunlight that, on this east-facing side of the building, allows for some good sunrise watchin'-action.
Don't miss out on your chance to take a tour of this special building. There are 59 units available, residents are being scheduled to move in starting July 1st, and you will be truly in the heart of downtown and the East End.
Also scheduled to be in the Columbus Building is a retail cafe/bar at some point (remember Chestnut Street Cafe?), the possible remaking of the former Downtown Fitness Club into another gym of some sorts, and residents will have access to an outdoor pool, sun deck, and BBQ grilling area.
