This one might be a given, but it’s coming up quickly and you don't want to wait. This is a big event every year and a great celebration of our region's agriculture and culinary talents. To purchase your ticket head to: Foodlink's Website

Tickets are $50 in advance or $60 at the door, VIP is $75 in advance only. Each attendee receives a wine glass, tasting plate and unlimited free samples!

2. Invite Your Friends

Sure, this event could be a blast on your own, trying whatever foods you want and meeting new people, but why not have your crew there with you?!

3. Go!

Once you're set and your friends are set, clear your schedule, you're going to the Festival of Food! It's Monday, September 17th from 6-9pm at the City of Rochester Public Market.

4. Eat, Drink & Be Merry

The Foodlink Festival of Food is said to be Upstate New York's largest tasting event with tastings from 120 local restaurants, wineries, breweries, bakeries and farms. Sample from new restaurants like Native Eatery and Bar, Steadfast and Swan Dive, right along side the Rochester staples like Lento, James Brown Place and Salena's. Maybe skip lunch this day...

5. Feel Great about Supporting Foodlink

Foodlink's mission is "to leverage the power of food to end hunger and build healthier communities"  and their history in Rochester reaches back to 1978. They are fighting hunger through nutrition education, food access programs, food banks, mobile pantries and so much more. All proceeds benefit Foodlink, who has been serving Central and Western New York for almost 40 years.

In its 10th year now, Canstruction, presented by Buckingham Properties,  is a FREE exhibit of canned food structures (but really, there's more to it than that)!

"Canstruction® is a unique nonprofit organization that holds annual design-build competitions to build giant sculptures made from canned food" (via website).

This year's theme: Fantasy & Fairy Tales

The competition serves to raise public awareness about hunger and need in our community and the donated cans are all given to local food banks after the competition. In this instance, all food cans are donated to Foodlink.

To date, Canstruction Rochester has donated 308,178 pounds of food. While previous competitions were held in Legacy Tower's Wintergarden, this year you'll find the exhibition on view in the lobby of Tower280 at Midtown until June 2nd! Don't miss this fun event.
