Thievin' Stephen's Spring Clean: A Call for Soap

This Friday, 3/28, a local artist will be creating a public piece with a purpose. Commissioned by the Washington Square Park Neighborhood Association, artist Thievin' Stephen will be bringing together great art with a great cause. While he paints a traffic control box at the southeast corner of Washington Square Park (across from Geva Theatre), he will be collecting toiletries (full size or sample size) and household cleaning supplies. These will then be distributed through outreach groups such as Sample Soap and The Flying Squirrel Community Space.

Washington Square Park, Rochester NY You've probably seen some of his pieces around the city, now he invites us to come and watch him in action. Thievin' Stephen is inviting the public out to meet him, watch him turn this blank canvas into art, and make a donation!

Blank Traffic Box at Washington Square Park Last year, during Wall\Therapy, we had a chance to catch him in progress with a piece in the South Wedge at the corner of Cayuga & Gregory. Don't miss this opportunity...

Theivin Stephen in the South Wedge Thievin' Stephen plans on being in the park from 9am-9pm, rain or shine. Stop by during the day or after work, make a donation, and say hello! Support local art and those in the community who are in need.
