For the unfamiliar, Thrillist is a massive city-guide covering all the major cities – NYC, Los Angeles, Chicago - read by millions of followers. So when they come to tiny ol' Rochester to highlight a local fave, people take notice and you know it's a big deal.
This past summer, Thrillist made the trek up to The Young Lion of the West for Garbage Plates and to see what all of the fuss was about. They met up with some passionate locals (and friends of ours!), Chris Clemens of Exploring Upstate, Linh Phillips of Sir Rocha Says, and Pete Wayner of Boomtown Table to learn the history of the Garbage Plate and all of the variations across the city.
